FAQ's

What’s the difference between accredited and regulated qualifications?

In the UK, some health professions are statutorily regulated by law - for example, Osteopathy and Chiropractic. Most alternative health fields, including Naturopathy and Naprapathy, are not government-regulated.

To maintain quality and public safety in these unregulated areas, training providers work with independent accreditation bodies such as:

  • The CPD Group - course accreditation for continuing professional development.

  • The Society of Naturopathic & Naprapathic Doctors (SNND) - professional association overseeing voluntary exams and registration.

These organisations are not government regulators, but they set clear standards and provide external quality assurance.

At UCHSc, we:

  • Mirror regulated qualifications wherever possible.

  • Employ tutors with regulated teaching, assessing and quality assurance awards.

  • Use the same rigorous systems applied in regulated education.

What this means for you:

  • You can graduate faster and at a lower cost.

  • You’re already prepared if a regulation is introduced in the future.

  • You can “top up” to regulated qualifications (e.g., Massage, Sports Therapy) later while already working and earning.

When can I enrol?

  • Short courses – Enrol anytime. Online study starts immediately, and you can book practical days as dates are released.

  • ND (Doctor of Naturopathy) & DN (Doctor of Naprapathy) – Two main intakes each year: September and March.

For ND/DN, you’ll complete an application form and a short admissions interview before enrolling. This ensures every student is fully prepared for the commitment involved.

How am I assessed?

Students are assessed using a variety of methods to suit their course and learning objectives. This could be any combination of Multiple choice. Short Answers. Online. Assignments. Projects, Case Studies. Portfolios. Photos. Videos. Zoom Practical Observations. Face-to-Face, etc. Some elements have minimum pass marks and pass or fail for safety. Full Preparation, Coaching, Counselling and Feedback is provided by your personal tutor.
